You can check the fuel system for leaks by simply removing the fuel tank from your RC car. Submerge the tank in a basin that’s full of water. Blow some air into the vent line. See if there are any bubbles coming out from the fuel tank. Looking for leak issues on the RC fuel system can help you also find if your RC is in good shape. When an RC engine is at full throttle, it delivers about 6 to 8 psi in the vent line & back in the tank. By blowing enough air pressure into the vent line, you will be able to produce about 6-8 psi for a few seconds. In addition to that, when you blow harder and if the tank lid to open even if slightly, that’s when you know that’s it’s time to buy and replace the fuel tank lid spring. You can bend more preload in the tank lid spring.
